Hero Complex Gallery knows the best way to celebrate Halloween and unknowingly they have secured my plans as well as the plans of many others for October 11th. The evening of October 11th, 2013 will be the opening for what HGC’s Art Director/ owner Adam Smasher is calling “HCG’s biggest exhibition of the year.” On the eve of the Season 4 premiere of the highest rated cable and broadcast show, HCG will launch an incredible, officially licensed exhibit for AMC’s The Walking Dead!

Here is what HCG has to say about the exhibit: As millions of fans await the return of one of the most talked about television shows in the world, venture with us into the post-apocalyptic universe of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Artwork will be inspired by the group’s struggle to survive, fighting against the dead, fighting against the living, and even fighting themselves.

A horde of Hero Complex Gallery’s favorite artists are dancing with the dead, bringing to life the loved, hated, and oftentimes feared characters of this worldwide television phenomenon. Complicated leader, Rick Grimes, the dark and mysterious katana-wielding Michonne, and Southern bad boy turned good, Daryl Dixon, are just a few of the iconic characters of this series that are portrayed in paintings, prints, and sculpture.

The opening reception will be on Friday, October 11th from 7-10pm and the show will run until October 26th.

Now I don’t know about you but I am extremely excited about this officially licensed show. There will be art from artists all over the world and some are even flying in for the event. Given the popularity of the TV show, I say get there early because I expect this one to be very crowded.
